Macaroon - FLV Flavour Notes

Macaroon

Tested @ 2%, diluted in 70/30 0Nic

Tested on a R200 Bonza dual coil 0.14ohm Flapton @ 100w

Manufacturer’s description – “Cream and caramel with some toasted brown coconut notes. Macaroon has an easy, long finish of nuts and sweet macaroon. This flavor is very friendly to bakery and coconut flavors. Its long nutty finish is pleasant and can stand alone if needed.”

SnV

I’m getting a Sugary taste followed by a slightly dark biscuit like taste and a hint of coconut.

7 day steep

The dark biscuit like taste has now steeped out. This now tastes like a macaroon type biscuit/cake with a slight coconut like taste on the end

33 day steep

No change

Suggested usage

I’d use this a main 2%-3%, Background 1%-2%, Accent 0.5%-1%. Standalone 3%-4%

I’d use this with Cakes, Chocolate, Nuts, Cream, Custard, Dairy, Vanilla and Fruit.

Summary

This is a decent Macaroon type flavour including the slightly chewy/crumbly Macaroon texture. As an accent this may be useful to boost the texture of cake and cookie mixes. As a main flavour I would use this as the base flavour for a macaroon recipe, although I get a slight coconut off this, I believe it would get covered in a mix, if you wanted a plain macaroon.
