Manufacturer’s description – “Grandma's apple pie filling. Touch of cinnamon and sweet creamy baked apples. This is an excellent apple for any apple pie or baked apple flavor note. Great for apple strudel, apple fritter, and apple pastry filling notes. Plays nicely with FLV Rich Cinnamon. Strong and clear enough for a standalone, but amazing with a little mixing creativity applied.”

Mild cinnamon followed by a light baked apple

7 day steep

The cinnamon has picked up in strength although still not overwhelming, the light baked apple remains unchanged and sits in the background, there also seems to be another spice note to this that may be anise or a very light clove, at this point this would get covered in a mix

Suggested usage

I’d use as a main 1%-2%, Background 0.5%-1%, Accent 0.25%-0.5%.

I’d use with Apple, Fruits, Bakery, Cream, Custards, Tobacco.

Summary

As a main flavour this would add a warm cinnamon along with a slight baked apple but would need to be paired with another apple if you wanted to use this as an apple filling. Used low you would mainly get the cinnamon, so would be useful to add a little cinnamon interest to a custard/fruit recipe or to enhance the cinnamon in something like a Cinnamon Danish.

Flavorah recommended usage - 1.00% – 5.00%
