Manufacturer’s description – “Candy roll is a sweet fruit base note to use with fruits and berries. It imparts the flavor of a rolled candy like Smarties or Sweetarts that can be an excellent canvas for other fruit. ”
SnV
Very dry and chalky with a slight citrus like note, this flavour is reminiscent of a refreshers candy tablet. There is a slight harshness to this possibly due to how dry this flavour is.
7 day steep
No change
33 day steep
A very slight floral like taste has now developed that imparts a slight sour to this flavour.
Suggested usage
I’d use this as a main 0.75%-1.25%, background 0.25%-0.75%, Accent 0.1%-0.25%. Standalone 1.25%-2%.
I’d use with Fruits, candies, Beverages and possibly creams and vanillas.
Summary
Used as an accent flavour this would impart a slight dryness and a slightly chalky mouthfeel with this increasing in strength as a background flavour. As a main flavour this would give a refreshers/Tingles candy tablet type of taste to a mix with a very slight sour. Used above 1% that very slight floral would start to creep in although it may be light enough to get covered in a mix up to 1.5%
You may be able to use this higher, but it would need some sweetener and possibly some EM to smooth over the floral taste depending on how sensitive you are to this concentrate. When used with beverage type mixes I would at 0.75% and below, you may also experience a slight effervescence from this.
Flavorah recommended usage - Start at 0.25%
